Lymphatic Buccal Facial Massage in Huntington Beach
A Lymphatic Buccal Facial Massage combines gentle lymphatic drainage techniques with buccal, or intraoral, massage, where a gloved practitioner works certain facial muscles from inside the mouth as well as from the outside. It is for people who want to relieve facial and jaw tension, reduce temporary puffiness and enjoy a more sculpted, refreshed look without needles or downtime.
What is Lymphatic Buccal Facial Massage?
This treatment brings together two massage styles. Lymphatic drainage techniques use light, rhythmic strokes across the face and neck to encourage the movement of fluid that can make the face look puffy, especially in the morning or after travel, salty meals or poor sleep. Buccal massage then focuses on the muscles of the cheeks and jaw. Wearing gloves, the practitioner places a finger inside the mouth and works the muscle between the inside and outside hands, reaching areas that regular facial massage cannot.
Many people come in because they clench their jaw, carry stress in their face or simply want their features to look more defined for an event. The effects are temporary and tend to build with a series of sessions, so it works well as part of an ongoing self-care routine. It is a relaxation and beauty treatment, not a medical or detox therapy. Every service at CAIR SPA is performed under the oversight of Tran Plastic Surgery, led by Dr. Tuan Tran, a triple board-certified plastic, reconstructive and hand surgeon whose practice is in the same Huntington Beach building.

How Lymphatic Buccal Facial Massage works at CAIR SPA
Consultation
We review your goals, health history, recent dental work and any injectables or facial treatments, so we can confirm the massage is right for you and plan how much pressure to use.
Lymphatic drainage
After cleansing, light, rhythmic strokes are applied across the face and neck to help ease puffiness and prepare the muscles for deeper work.
Buccal massage
Wearing gloves, the practitioner works the cheek and jaw muscles from inside the mouth together with outside techniques, adjusting pressure to your comfort.
Finish and aftercare
The session ends with soothing outer massage and skincare, plus simple tips such as drinking water and avoiding heavy salt to help you enjoy the refreshed look longer.
Before, during and after
Every plan is personalized. Your provider will walk you through preparation and aftercare at your consultation.
Before
Come with a clean face if you can. Tell us if you have had neurotoxin or filler injections recently, since many providers suggest waiting about 2 weeks before facial massage. Also let us know about recent dental work, cold sores or any active infection, certain medical conditions, or if you are pregnant, so we can check whether to adjust or reschedule.
During
The outer lymphatic work feels light and relaxing. The buccal portion can feel intense, especially on tight jaw muscles, but you can ask for lighter pressure or a pause at any time. The full session is about 60 minutes.
After
Many people notice their face looks less puffy and more defined right away. Some feel mild tenderness in the jaw or cheeks for a day, similar to after a deep massage. There is typically no downtime, and you can return to your normal routine.
Expert oversight you can trust

Most people have no downtime and can go right back to their day. Some feel mild jaw or cheek tenderness for a short time afterward, which typically fades on its own.
